This famously beautiful pair, Rakhi Sawant and the Canadian actor Elesh Parujanwala, were set to be married when their relationship came to a sudden halt. The only initial news about this ending came from their television show, Imagine. This show seemed to place blame on Rakhi for “calling it quits.” The superstar has emerged to defend herself and say why the relationship ended.

Rakhi claims that Elesh was using her as a ladder into the film industry. His only intentions in the relationship were to gain attention and be able to launch himself into a more lucrative career. He was apparently surprised when Rakhi took the relationship as far as he did, only agreeing to marriage because of Rakhi’s great wealth. Rakhi remained in the relationship, planning and staying with Elesh until the subject of children came up. Elesh told Rakhi he did not want their children to be Indian citizens. He then went on to insult the Indian culture.

This insult to her way of life is what caused Rakhi to end the relationship, cutting ties with her almost husband completely. Rakhi Sawant is now once again one of Bollywood’s most sought after bachelorettes, reentering single life after her close brush with a marriage she would have regretted.
